Sweden and Norway has some of
the finest rock-carvings in the world.
The Scandinavian carvings are mostly
from early stoneage or the bronzeage.
There are different theories about this motif.
Is it an image of Gods or priests of the sun
in some holy ceremony ?
Or perhaps they are men with helmets
fighting, lifting their round shields.
There may be many explanations and we can only guess.
